Sally and Tess
When someone hints at wanting to know my age, I unabashedly reply..."We are neat, a wazoo crew; we're the class of sixty-two!" You helped shape me; for that and your friendship, I'm grateful. Remember the Girl Scout song that goes..."Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver, but the other's gold?" Y'all are gold!

Here's a condensed version of how I ended up where I am...and what I'm about. I pick up strays...cats, dogs, people. I've been stiffed in the loan department but have had trouble repaying my debts, too. Had my lights shut off once when selling real estate. Been divorced twice, once from a guy who didn't like the way I put toothpaste on HIS toothbrush and then from a guy who had a few problems who thought I had the problems. (Click here for sordid details.) (Just kidding!!!) Mr. Toothpaste & I produced Nate who at 33 has yet to grandmother me. He lives in Denver & is part owner of a glass block business. I like my son, as well as love him.

Smokehouse II Crew

Along the way I picked up my B.S. from IU (theater) and an M.A. in English from Purdue in Fort Wayne. Have had too many jobs to mention. Few of them pertained to my fields of study. Biggest hobby was raising quarter horses.

Three years ago, after the second Big D, I had my horse shipped ahead, packed a trailer with my belonging (not plural) and headed to Gainesville, Texas where roses bloom in December and the first emergency phone number in my book is for the exterminator!!! Gainesville is in the Red River Valley...remember that and "Call Rattler from the Barn?" Oh, by the way, I pulled that trailer all the way from Ohio without knowing how to back it up!!!! Talk about having to plan ahead!

The Par Three Ranch Gang

I love honest people, being able to pay my bills, laughter, "Amazing Grace," "Blue Eyes Cryin' in the Rain", Stravinski, reading, meditating, Margaritas at the Pub, birthin' horse babies and friends. I hate red tape and eating alone but little else. Can cook and sew (but don't do much of either) and am not handy (so why DID I buy a house built in 1918...even if it did come with its own ghost!) On the whole, I enjoy my little life.

Anne and Sally

I'm currently a first-year English teacher (7th grade), am slightly anorexic and still smoking but am mostly over my panic attacks...anyone else turn out crazy? I bemoan the fact that hair dye has doubled in price and take bets with my mirror as to where the next wrinkle will appear. I miss the classmates we've lost & pray that they'll be with us in September at the reunion. Thanks to Chuck & Karen, et al, for reuniting us electronically. Fate threw us together. Choice keeps us there.
