Welcome to my page:
Ron Daws
(40th Reunion Profile)

The new computer we have does just about everything but catch fish, but using it isn't one of my best skills. I'll have to solicit some help with the pictures from my granddaughter but they will follow soon.

I've had double vision problems since August, so my tube time is minimal. I'm having surgery Dec. 14th to correct an enlarged muscle in my right eye. I'll keep at this till it gets too blurry.

I made a serious mistake while in High School and wasn't able to graduate with the rest of you guys. I was reluctant to add my name to the Class of 1962, but then said what the heck - I started school in Plainfield in the 4th grade and remember most everyone, and this is where I grew up.

I joined the army when I was eighteen and went to Korea. While there, I was determined to finish High School and did. I finished my military tour and went to work at a place called Link Belt. Guess what? Thirtyeight years later and I'm still there. I've been in a management position for 21 years. During that time, I have also been in the entertainment business playing music in night clubs - where I met my second wife. She and I have been married 28 years.

I still play music one night a week at the Danville Senior Center. My music and fishing is where my screen name come from (Country Bass Man). I've lived close to Plainfield all my life. We currently live out in the sticks about half way between Mooresville and Martinsville. I take memory trips from time to time thru Plainfield. It has changed so much it doesn't seem like the same place.

We have two sons and four grandkids - the oldest is 16. We also have one dog and an alien trapped in a cat's body, if you know what I mean.

My eyes are starting to go nuts on me so I'll have to stop or it will be headache city.

GOD BLESS, your old friend and classmate,

Ron Daws
